9. Sandwiched between two trucks
Kaleb Whitby was driving on a highway covered with black ice. His Chevy Silverado hit a semi-truck, and as it was flipping over, collided with another truck. Whitby, who was stuck between the two trucks, left the scene with only two band-aids.

10. Escaped death twice
Maarten de Jonge is a Dutch cyclist who travels around with Malaysia’s Terengganu cycling team. He was meant to travel on the MH17 flight that was shot down but changed his plans at the last minute. On March 2014, he exchanged his ticket on the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 that disappeared. No wonder people call him luckiest man in the world.
11. Struck by a metal rod
A 2m metal rod fell from the fifth-floor of a building where construction worker Eduardo Leite was working. The rod pierced Leite’s skull. The man was taken to the hospital where the rod was removed after five hours of surgery. He lost his eye, but we are glad that he survived.
