Bananas are super fruits. They are full of healthy vitamins and nutrients that help treat fatigue and depression. Unfortunately, bananas brown incredibly quickly, and if you don’t consume them on time, they will go to waste. To slow down their ripening, here’s a solution: separate them at the stem. They’re guaranteed to stay yellow for at least 4 days longer!

Eggs are part of the core staples of the kitchen. However, a rotten egg isn’t just a game, it’s a danger to you and to your loved ones. Many diseases can be found in old eggs. Here’s a tip that will help you preserve your eggs: mineral oil. If you rub your eggs with mineral oil, they will last up to a month longer. And if you are not sure if they’re already rotten, put one egg at a time in a glass of water. If the egg sinks, it’s still fresh. If it floats it should be thrown away immediately!

Creamy avocado is delicious. However, nothing is more frustrating than buying an avocado and finding out that it is weeks away from ripening. To solve this problem, use this quick hack: take the hard avocado and put it in a brown paper bag with a banana. It should be ripe within a day. This is because the banana emits a type of gas that makes the avocado ripen quickly. Cool!

Have you ever lost a potato peeler? It’s almost as if they never come back, just like left socks. If your potato peeler has grown wings, don’t despair. You can easily peel a potato with a pot of boiling water and a bowl of ice water. All you need to do is boil the potato until it is done, and then dip the hot potato in ice water. You should be able to just rub the skin off with your fingers.

Everybody loves cake. But who loves stale cake? Well, no one! That’s why this hack is nothing short of pure genius. If your cake has been sliced and you still have some open pieces left, just use a toothpick to press some bread to the open sides. This will keep the cake moist and delicious for way longer, plus everyone has bread so it’s a win-win!
