Arthur Booth, a 49-year-old man, was appearing in Miami-Dade Circuit Court for a bond hearing when the judge recognized him as one of her middle school classmates.

“The nicest kid in middle school”

Booth, a burglary suspect, started sobbing when Florida judge Mindy Glazer, asked him whether he had attended Nautilus Middle School. “Oh my goodness, oh my goodness,” Booth shouted in tears.

“This was the nicest kid in middle school, he was the best kid in middle school. I used to play football with him, all the kids, and look what has happened.”

Booth was arrested after being spotted driving a vehicle that was suspected of being involved in a burglary. When the cops approached him, he fled and crashed the car before he was caught. Judge Glazer set Arthur’s bond at $43,000. She added that she hopes Booth will manage to turn his life around.
