Samuel Eto’o’s Son Wins The Top Goalscorer Prize Of The Copa Mallorca
Etienne Eto’o, Samuel Eto’o’s son, is following his father’s footsteps. The football star recently posted a heartwarming message to his son as well as several pictures where the two are spending some quality time together.
Like father like son
Etienne, who is 14 years old, participated to the Copa Mallorca, a football tournament that attracts Mallorca’s best football players aged between 6 and 16 years old. The teenager’s team, Mallorca, won the U14 tournament. In addition to winning the cup, Etienne, who also plays as a striker, was named Top Goalscorer of the tournament.
A proud dad
Samuel Eto’o posted a picture of his son holding his new trophy with the caption:
“Congratulations, dad who loves you. Adrenaline.”
Samuel Eto’o also played in Mallorca for five seasons and left the club as the all-time leading domestic league scorer with 54 goals. Eto’o went on to play for Barcelona where he won two Champions League trophies in 2006 and in 2009.
