Nicole Elliot discovered Chester the dog on a charity site. Chester needed hospice, and she decided to take the dog in.

She Fell in Love When She Saw Him

Elliot did not want Chester to die alone, so she took him to live with her so she could pamper him on his last days.  “I knew that it would be my responsibility to make his final days the best I could, to mine and his ability” she said.

Making His Final Days The Best

“I am trying to give him normal doggy experiences that he may have never had the chance to do before, and a ton of spoiling.  So far he took a ride with the windows down, he had a famous Nathans hot dog, he had a doggie sundae, he had a milk and oatmeal bath (spa day), he went on a shopping spree where he got a cozy bed, bandannas, lots of treats, and toys.”

He is Weak But Enjoying Every Minute of It

“He likes his hair blowing in the wind, but his legs aren’t stable enough to stand and put his head out the window” Elliot says. But Chester loves to eat and has a huge appetite.

Part of the Family

It is estimated that Chester does not have a lot of time left. Elliot admits that it will be tough to lose him, but she continues to make sure he is having the best time possible.
