Pop superstar Rihanna and rapper Drake have been spending a lot of time with each other lately. They have been travelling, performing, and partying together. While the pair knows how to have fun, they also make time for their fans. The celebrities made an ill fan’s dreams come true by visiting her at a hospital.
A great team
It is not clear what the relationship between the musicians is Rihanna is currently travelling with her sold out ANTI tour. On Tuesday, she was in the U.S. city Miami. She surprised the concert goers with a surprise appearance from Drake. They performed a duet while dancing very closely together. After that, Drake reserved a club for a private after party for all of their friends. A witness told People.com that the two were definitely flirty” and were “dancing together all night.” They also bowled and ice skated.
Making wishes come true
The meeting was arranged by the Make-A-Wish Foundation – a non-profit organization for children aged 3-17 with life-threatening medical conditions. The organization makes children’s’ biggest wishes come true. 14-year-old Megan suffers from progressive metastatic sarcoma. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that is caused by transformed mesenchymal cells. Metastasis refers to the spread of cancer from one organ to another. And progressive means that her condition is getting worse. Rihanna and Drake surprised her at the children’s hospital where she is being treated. They met with her just a few hours before their performance together.
A big fan of Drake
Meeting Drake was Megan’s biggest wish. Getting to meet Rihanna too was an added bonus. A representative from the organization told Billboard Magazine that Drake is “[Megan’s] favorite singer, and she has listened to his music throughout her diagnosis and treatment.”
The best day of her life
Drake took a video of their meeting on his Snapchat. “This is the best Snapchat I’ve ever done,” he said before kissing Megan on the cheek. Megan posted the video on her Instagram page and captioned it:
“BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! I MET THE LOML. He was so sweet & down to earth. Gave me and my family some OVO clothing. BEST DAY EVER. NO LIE. @champagnepapi LOVE YOU!”
A quiet visit
Celebrities are constantly surrounded by cameras. And even when they are not, they are often posting photos from their phones. But somehow, their visit with Megan was kept quiet by both of them. It did not get a lot of media attention until the Drake fan account Aboodovo posted pictures on Instagram. They were taken from Megan’s private Instagram account. This shows that Rihanna and Drake did not do the visit for attention, but out of the goodness of their hearts.
