There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Davido’s latest video. A few days ago, the Nigerian superstar made the news for a very different reason. He surprised a fan with a lot of money. The day Davido’s Instagram account reached 929 000 followers, he had to give out N1 million (about 5ooo US dollars) to a fan whenever his Instagram account reached 1 million followers. Last week, Davido’s account hit a million followers, and your favorite artist kept his promise.
Perfect Timing
Olajide Daniel Sanyaolu is a student who is enrolled at the University of Liverpool where he is studying Electronics and Communications Engineering. He managed to obtain a First Class degree after his first year, but he was unfortunately forced to take a year off because he was facing financial hardship. To remedy this situation, Sanyaolu started a GoFundMe page to raise £12,350 (about 19 400 US dollars) so he could return to school and finish his studies.

A Dream Come True
In fulfillment of his promise, the artist donated the prize to a worthy fan. Sanyaolu has not raised the entire amount he needs, but he is one step closer to reaching his goal. He thanked Davido from the bottom of his heart.

For Those Interested In Helping Out, Here Is Sanyaolu’s Story:
My name is Jide Sanyaolu and I need your help to further my education. I obtained a First Class degree (equivalent to a 4.0 G.P.A) during my first year studying BEng Electronics and Communications Engineering at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. However, due to financial difficulties I took a year break from my education, where I interned in the accounting department at Manifold Computers. Now, I am preparing to return to continue my education this September and I request your help to achieve this goal.
My education is on hold because my parents and support network are not able to provide the £24,700 tuition required to continue my university studies. I have to pay £12,350 to the University by the 30th of August 2015 in order to apply for my student visa and the balance £12,350 prior to school starts on September 28th.
I am using this platform to request for your help because I don’t have access to student loans or alternative financing sources. I am determined to return to full-time education at the University of Liverpool, where I achieved First Class marks in the face of educational and financial adversity. During my last semester, I had no access to the library facilities provided by the university and my online access was limited due to the financial hold on my student account. Despite these limitations, I persevered and achieved top results.
With your donations, I am assured a place back at the University of Liverpool. After the University of Liverpool receives the funds, I will be issued a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies letter that will accompany my application for a new student visa.
Be rest assured that I will not misuse your donations and will keep all donors updated on my academic progress during the year. No contribution is small. I appreciate you taking time to read this appeal and look forward to your assistance. Please donate, and help build a young man destined to achieve great things.
God bless you!
