You are not the only one to love pictures, animals do too. Jelani, a gorilla from the Louisville Zoo, showed how much he would love to play around with an iPhone as he is recorded looking at a visitor’s vacation pictures displayed on a mobile device.
A special encounter
Paul Ross, a young man who was visiting the zoo, sat on one side of a safety glass and scrolled through some photos on his phone. Jelani was on the other side of the glass admiring the pictures. Humorously, the gorilla sat comfortably and started enjoying the slideshow. Every time Paul flicked through a picture, you would notice Jelani making a hand gesture, asking to see the next picture.

All cosied up
Paul leaned against the wall and the gorilla adorably did the same. It looked like he was reading over the young man’s shoulder. The man who was filming the scene said: “I stumbled upon the boy sharing pictures with Jelani touring the zoo with my one-year-old daughter. […] The boy was scrolling through gorilla pictures, and Jelani would motion with his hand to move to the next photo. Both seemed to really enjoy sharing the experience.” Later, Ross learned from zoo workers that Jelani loved looking at photos on visitor’s phones.
