Tabitha is a bichon and poodle mix who went missing earlier this month. Her owner, Alfred Schaefer, has Alzheimer’s and did not return home while walking her one day. His wife Kelly found him, but Tabitha was missing. The family was heartbroken, but then something amazing happened.
They searched extensively
To Kelly, Tabitha is a member of the family. “To me, she’s my kid. I love her as much as I love my husband, my boys,” she said. Tabitha also helps her husband remember things and be active. Kelly made sure to use all of her resources in finding her lost dog. After putting up flyers all around the neighborhood, she asked her local news station for help.

They did not have to search for long
A family in the nearby area found the Tabitha. They were watching TV when Kelly appeared on the local news channel. The dog immediately recognized her owner and responded so strongly that the family knew that she must have been the missing dog.
