Some people believe that life was just so simple in the past. Do you agree?

1. The CD wallet
Wondering what song to play? Thank God you had CD wallets around. Who thought that one day you would be able to store all your music in a phone, or a flash drive?

2. The dragging window
Your computer is slow and you know that it is about to freeze, but you still want to drag that window around to create artwork on your screen…And forget about the file you never saved.

3. Dialing in Progress
If you ever witnessed this, then you are really old. People used to connect to the Internet via landlines. The Internet would disconnect whenever someone picked up the phone.

4. “No Disc”
Do you remember burning your favorite playlist on a CD, and playing it on a CD player that couldn’t read burned discs? It was such a waste of time and blank CDs.

5. Speaking of CDs
Even though they were called “compact”, CD players weren’t really compact. Especially when you compare them to today’s music players. First, you had to make sure that they fit in your pocket, then you had to turn on the “skip protection” or else, you wouldn’t be able to listen to a song without hearing this annoying sound in the background.

6. Downloading…
Internet connections were slow. Some were so slow that it could take you “years” to download a game. And the worst thing about it was that once you started a download you could not pause it. See you in 39 years…

7. The ball
Before the optical mouse existed, people were accustomed to using a mouse that had a ball in it. Of course, over time, the mouse would pick up all of the dust there could ever be around, and you would have to clean the electronic device regularly.

Downloading a song took less than 39 years this time. However, sometimes, download times were long enough for you to take a nap and come back.

9. Squeeze hard
These batteries were useful in a sense because you could find out when they would die. However, you had to squeeze them really hard to test them.

10. Smile!
There’s is nothing worse than taking a picture and not knowing if it turned out good or bad. Actually, you had to wait until you used your 24 or 36 shots to find out. Thank God for digital cameras.

11. Phonebooks
Before the Internet and Google, people actually had to use their phone books. Knowing someone’s first name, last name and address was a must.

12. Who’s speaking?
Older telephones did not have caller IDs, therefore, you always had to ask who was on the line when you picked up the phone. Prank calls back then were epic.
