On September 26th, she hosted the Barbie\u2122 Rock \u2018N Royals Concert Experience, an event that encourages children to raise their voices and also benefits the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. At the event, she was presented with a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll in the style of her 2015 Oscars look.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>A unique honor<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe are so excited to honor Zendaya with this one-of-a-kind doll as she encourages girls to raise their voices and inspires us to #BeSuper,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> the Barbie team said on Instagram, sharing a sketch of the doll. Someone said something about my hair at the Oscars that left me in awe. Not because I was relishing in rave outfit reviews, but because I was hit with ignorant slurs and pure disrespect. To say that an 18-year-old young woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or \u201cweed\u201d is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive.
