It took a couple of tries to figure out what he was saying, but the cashier eventually understood that the man needed help cutting and eating his meal. What happened next was so amazing that Carreno <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?app_id=122384521533&amp;channel=http%3A%2F%2Fstatic.ak.facebook.com%2Fconnect%2Fxd_arbiter%2F6brUqVNoWO3.js%3Fversion%3D41%23cb%3Df218bd01f8%26domain%3Dwww.today.com%26origin%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.today.com%252Ff283feb774%26relation%3Dparent.parent&amp;container_width=0&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fphoto.php%3Ffbid%3D426188214250401%26set%3Da.107258939476665.1073741828.100005776772002%26type%3D3%26theater&amp;locale=en_US&amp;sdk=joey&amp;width=500#\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">shared it on her Facebook page<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. \u00a0It has now reached over 300,000 shares <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and has gotten more than 2.3 million views on other social media platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>She was touched by his compassion<\/strong><\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTo be honest, I thought the cashier wasn&#8217;t going to help, especially during rush hour in downtown Chicago,\u201d Carreno admitted. \u201cBut to my shock, he shut down his register and disappeared from view&#8230;.The cashier came out from the kitchen, sat down, and began cutting the man&#8217;s meal and helped him eat.\u201d Carreno said she was brought to tears in appreciation for the cashier\u2019s efforts.<br \/>\n\u201cThis employee, who put everything on hold for this man, went above and beyond his responsibilities to help this handicapped customer out. owner<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The owner of the Chicago McDonald\u2019s, Rod Lubeznik, identified the cashier as a man named Kenny Soriano-Garcia. \u00a0He says the company is very proud of their cashier and is \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">overwhelmed by the positive response [Kenny] has received for his compassion and kindness<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0It\u2019s a true testament to who Kenny is, and a reminder to us all that one seemingly small act of kindness can touch the hearts of so many<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">,\u201d he said in a statement. \u00a0He also said that Kenny was specially recognized during a rewards
