The incident occurred in the same national park where <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.afrizap.com\/en\/cecil-lion\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cecil the lion was illegally killed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> last month. Quinn Swales was leading a group of tourists when he was attacked. None of the tourists were hurt.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>An Unexpected And Tragic Event<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A police spokeswoman, named Charity Charamba, made a statement on Tuesday. On Monday, Swales was leading a photographic walking safari in Hwange National Park and noticed fresh lion spoor. He tracked a pride and found six lions: two females, two cubs and two males. When he was tracking the lions, one of the males attacked him out of the blue. \u00a0&#8220;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One of the lions had cubs and they became hostile. Mr Swales at first managed to scare the lions away but then the male lion later made a U-turn and attacked him<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">,&#8221; Charamba said. This put the park in the international spotlight.
