Sick days are part of most employee benefits packages, and workers surely take advantage of them. Employment website CareerBuilder conducted a survey in a sample of 3103 full-time private sector workers, and 2203 hiring managers across industries.<\/p>\n<p>The survey findings are quite interesting. Results reveal that 28% of American employees called in sick in 2014. December is the most popular time to take sick days (why are we not surprised?). While most of these absences were justified, you will be surprised to hear some of the ridiculous excuses some employees have invented.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">1.
