There is now a possibility that the two will collaborate.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How\u00a0it all started<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The rivalry between Davido and Wizkid has been long, but it is unclear how it exactly started. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thenet.ng\/2012\/09\/exclusive-wizkid-davido-at-war\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nigerian Entertainment Today traces the feud<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> back to two very influential men in Nigeria\u2019s music industry: D\u2019banj and Don Jazzy. Don Jazzy was the chief executive of Mo\u2019Hit records and D\u2019banj was his partner and the label\u2019s top musician. When the two parted ways, Don Jazzy founded Mavin Records and D&#8217;banj launched DB Records. In 2012, a rumor spread that Davido had signed to DB Records. It turned out not to be true, but the damage had already been done. The rumor apparently led to a fight with musician Wande Coal, a partner of Don Jazzy\u2019s, and this is what supposedly started to the issues with Wizkid. NET\u2019s inside source said: <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cWande is like Wizkid\u2019s elder brother. Wizzy looks up to him a lot and anything Wande says, Wizkid will do. Instead of the personal issues, he focused on the competitiveness of the music industry. In <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/punchng.com\/people-should-stop-judging-wizkid-wande-coal\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">an interview with Punch newspaper<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, he said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI have influenced the music of both Wizkid and Davido but the person with whom I went through a lot with and greatly influenced is Wizkid\u2026With David, I feel he is a good artist. In the game called music, there would always be friction but it does not mean that they are not cool with each other. People need to know that music is competitive.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fellow Nigerian musician KCee felt the feud was exaggerated for the sake of publicity. He told NET:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI really don\u2019t know what to say about it or where it\u2019s coming from. If one telecom\u00a0comes to me, the other one will go meet him. If Coke comes to me, Pepsi goes to him.\u201d<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He noted how the music industry seems to have pitted them against each other. <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cWhether or not it\u2019s true, they make it feel like it can only be one of us. I think there\u2019s enough for all of us to eat, but then sometimes it can feel like only one person will win.\u201d \u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/musicinafrica.net\/davido-collaborate-wizkid?section-context=news\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Music in Africa.net reported that<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Wizkid called Davido\u2019s management team and asked to collaborate. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cWe\u2019re gonna give them What a Time to Be
