She has made a few surprising comments on <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The View,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> but her latest one is making such a stir that even her father had to weigh in.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Internet did not appreciate her remarks<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The discussion was about a study showing people have a prejudice against people with stereotypically \u201cblack-sounding\u201d or \u201cghetto\u201d name. Raven-Symon\u00e9<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> chimed in while laughing,<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cCan we take back &#8216;racist&#8217; and say &#8216;discriminatory,&#8217; because I think that&#8217;s a better word. And I\u2019m very discriminatory against the words like the ones they were saying in those names. I\u2019m not going to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea. That\u2019s just not going to happen. I\u2019m not going to hire you.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She immediately received criticism online, with many saying her comment was offensive and hypocritical. So many people began pestering him with concerns over his daughter&#8217;s comments that he had to respond in a<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=877701642337914&amp;set=a.316839835090767.83380.100002942595841&amp;type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Facebook post<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: &#8220;A woman wrote to me tonight and said she couldn&#8217;t support my book because of the words of my daughter,&#8221; Pearman wrote.<\/span> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cTo My Dear Friends,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There has been much talk today about my daughter&#8217;s comments on her show The View. People have been hitting me up all night questioning me about her remarks. Let me say this&#8230;&#8230;I haven&#8217;t managed Ravens career in over 10 years. Raven has achieved incredible success, and this cannot be denied! \u00a0Children grow up and become influenced by many things, situations and people.
