The rapper filed a complaint in the Connecticut bankruptcy court requesting $75 million in damages.<\/p>\n<h2>A bad headphone deal<\/h2>\n<p>50 believes that his former lawyers did a terrible job representing him during his legal battle. In 2010, 50 and Sleek Audio partnered to develop a headphone line called <em>Sleek by 50<\/em> to compete with Dr. Dre&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Beats by Dre.\u00a0<\/em>Sleek Audio missed its launch deadline and never marketed the headphones. 50 Cent consequently decided to create his own company called SMS Audio, and to market the headphones. The company ultimately won and the rapper was ordered to pay Sleek $17.2 for\u00a0<em>\u201cmisappropriating trade secrets, breaching his fiduciary duty owed to Sleek, participating in a civil conspiracy, breaching his confidentiality agreement with Sleek, and being unjustly enriched.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Jackson blames Garvey Schubert Barer for failing to &#8220;<em>employ the requisite knowledge and skill necessary to confront the circumstances of the case.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In July,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.afrizap.com\/en\/50-cent-bankrupt\" target=\"_blank\"> 50 Cent filed for bankruptcy<\/a> after he was ordered to pay $5 million to Lastonia Leviston, the mother of his rival Rick Ross\u2019 child. However, Mr. Jackson&#8217;s complaint against GSB omits a number of relevant facts and misstates a number of others, and we will respond to the allegations in accordance with the court&#8217;s rules. Our attorneys properly counseled Mr. Jackson and his sophisticated team of financial and operational advisors about the transactions and the arbitrations with Sleek. Unfortunately, the arbitrator in the Sleek case found Mr. Jackson responsible for his actions and the actions of those who performed services for him or his companies.
